Athens County, Ohio D-1 Liquor License: Beer – On Premise.The Ohio D-1 Liquor Permit is for businesses such as a restaurant, bar, hotel or other type of on premise establishment. These liquor permits allow for the sale of only beer to the customers of the business. The license allows for the sale of beer for consumption both on and off of the premise. Beer sold at the premise may be sold in either a glass or it’s original container. Beer sold for off premise consumption must be sold in it’s original container. This permit can be coupled with a D2 and D3 liquor license to allow for the sale of beer, wine, and hard liquor.
